Financial Center First Credit Union
Financial Center First Credit Union’s Financial Literacy program is a continuous program that exists as a pillar of the Credit Union. Financial Center has participated and hosted numerous financial literacy initiatives to financially educate its membership and community at no charge. The objectives of this program include:
Objective: 500 seminar/webinar attendees
Objective: 2,000 Wealth Builder online users
Objective: 200 credit counseling appointments
Objective: 5,000 Carpe Dime podcast listens
Objective: 5,000 total individuals reached
Financial Center believes in a ripple effect when it comes to financial literacy. For example, when one member is financially educated, that member can then share the financial knowledge learned with family. The family then branches out to the community and it ultimately impacts the financial well-being of the world.
As a result, Financial Center’s target audience for this program is its membership of over 80,000 members across central Indiana and its Muncie-based division, Ball State Financial. Additionally, technology has allowed for the program's accessibility to extend beyond central Indiana.
