SPIRE Credit Union

In April of 2022, SPIRE Credit Union partnered with Tony Oliva – Minnesota baseball legend, National Baseball Hall of Famer, and SPIRE member. During Oliva’s fifteen-year Major League Baseball career, he won three American League batting titles and the 1964 Rookie of the Year Award. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in the summer of 2022.

Oliva has called Minnesota home since his arrival to the states from Cuba in the early 1960s. From 1962 to 1976, he played as a right fielder and designated hitter for the Minnesota Twins. Oliva is a genuine and authentic leader in his community and the sports industry. His values align closely with SPIRE’s, making this partnership a win-win.

Since this partnership originated, Oliva has been featured in many of SPIRE’s marketing materials. This includes commercials, billboards, digital advertisements, and events.

SPIRE’s target market includes individuals and families; ages 25-50; in their prime borrowing years; throughout Minnesota.
