Gesa Credit Union
The objective of our 2015 Annual Report was to communicate to our members ‘Our Gesa Story’ for 2015. The theme coincided with our award winning commercial series, ‘My Gesa Story’, which many of our members are familiar with. This gave us the opportunity to highlight our achievements through a story telling format.
Here are descriptions of the stories we featured in the publication:
We began the report by featuring ‘Gesa Stories’ from our President & CEO and Board Chairperson. Don Miller, our President & CEO, shared how he started his career at Gesa at age 28, and worked his way up to the President’s Office. Iris Anderson, our Board Chairperson, shared how her ‘Gesa Story’ began when she opened her first Gesa account and became a member of the credit union.
We then highlighted member stories as those are the often the most meaningful. We displayed member pictures with their names, quotes, and how long they have been Gesa members. These were the same members featured in our most recent ‘My Gesa Story’ commercial series, so it was a great way to leverage material we already had available.
Next, we highlighted our story about all of the ways we gave back in 2015. We included pictures and names of the different organizations we supported throughout the year and called out that we provided $610,065 in support to community-based organizations. We also communicated our story about supporting financial education, our story about expansion and growth, our financial highlight story, and our stories that made the news and social media.
Our target audience for the annual report is our members and staff. The members who attend our Annual Meeting always get the first copies and they appreciate a yearly “status report” of what their credit union accomplished. We also distribute the Annual Reports throughout the year in all of our Member Service Centers. Employees use the report to share Gesa’s story and our financials, introduce who we are, and highlight our achievements and charitable contributions from the past year.
