CoastHills Credit Union has always placed a high value on the loyalty of its existing membership, so a credit card campaign specifically geared toward that audience was particularly apt. And positioning the messaging around the effort individual members have put into improving their credit scores made the resulting direct mail campaign congratulatory and focused on the members themselves rather than focused on CoastHills. The goal was to outdo the previous year's return of 4% on the direct mail efforts.
